My old 'traditional' way of selling group training sessions went a bit like this:

• Put on offer out there such as a free trial or low cost week.
• Deal with the enquiries over the phone - get people booked in.
• Let people come in and get to experience our service.
• Sit down at the end of the offer period and then have a consultation.
• Sell them on to a longer term membership plan.

Don't get me wrong. This way works and works really well. It's just long winded. 

It's time consuming.

It's difficult to keep on top of all of the leads. Where are they in the sales process? Who's on what trial? Making time for the consultations, etc.

I was exhausted and was determined to one day figure out a more efficient way. 

Here's the thing.

It was Christmas 2014 and I was determined to take some genuine time off work. I said I would do this the year before....but hadn't.

I wanted to figure out a way to capitalise on the New Year January 'rush' without having to compromise on the time with my wife and kids.

It was a bit of a punt. I honestly didn't know whether it was going to work or not, but on New Year's Eve as we were over at my in-laws playing games (that's what everyone does isn't it?).....

I sat back in disbelief as my paypal account kept 'pinging' with new sales.

I couldn't believe it!!

The whole thing had completely exceeded my initial expectations.

It had been January and every fitness pro will know that there is always a high demand at this time of year as people went around setting their New Year's resolutions. 

I needed to test this out again.

So I rolled it out again at the end of February for a March start date. 

Same, ads, same sales page, same process.....

It was then that I realised I had discovered a way of automating my whole sales process. 

I could generate good quality sales from great quality local clients at the push of a button.

The system then goes to work and does everything for me. 

This has led to me earning more money, but more significantly having more time to do other stuff.

Just me, Alex and the kids will have this place to ourselves. It's in Calpe, Spain. 

This was something that I was hoping to be able to do by 2016, but due to the success of this new system we have been able to bring it forward to this year!!

Here's an example of the sort of thing I'm talking about. 

The ad image has to be a reflection of your target market and what they're aspiring to look like. 

The copy has to be conversational and not too salesy.

Most importantly though is the targeting. Utilising retargeting, website custom audiences and making sure that those seeing your ads have already had a taste of what you offer is essential.

Facebook are strict now on landing pages. 

You have to make sure that you include the right links and you host it from the right source.

It has to be professional looking and consistent with your ad. 

This is such an important cog in the wheel.

There is a step by step process to this methodology.

The psychological triggers that will get your prospects to take action there and then. 

You have to tell a story but there's no need to over do it.

There are 15 essential steps to the sales page. Missing just one out can and will cost you sales. 

Also, remember that most will be scrolling through this page from their mobile devices. It has to be mobile friendly. 

This isn't just about selecting a payment gateway.

It's about making sure that you have the ability to take your client through to the correct 'Next Steps' page once they have paid.

This is an essential part to minimising the work that you have to do and making sure that the client has no need to contact you. 

You gotta make sure that these next steps are clear. 

It needs to be integrated with your email autoresponder where they are then sent everything they need regarding the programme such as shopping lists, nutrition manuals, meal planners, accountability forms etc.

They also need to have clear instructions on how they can start booking their sessions in. 

I was initially looking to run this campaign every 2 months, but just thought I would test the market by offering it out again just 4 weeks after the last one.

So I started marketing this at the end of March. 

Take a look below at the stats (cumulative of March and April campaigns). This is based on website conversions (I placed the pixel on the 'Next Steps Page - Step 5' so that I could measure how many sales I made through Facebook. 

I then made a load more sales through my email list as well. 

The great thing about having things set up like this is that I can see at a glance which ads are most profitable for me.

Notice how I've made 20 sales for £99 where it has cost me just $3.02 for each sale. 

Then:

• 16 at $3.84
• 13 @ $7.94
• 10 @ $7.06
• 2 @ $6.31
• 2 @ $6.19

Going back to what I said in step 1 - this is all about targeting. 

My worst performing ad was still generating sales of £99 for every $7.94 spent. Approximate exchange rate brings that out at around £5.

So my worst performing ad offered a return on investment of 1,880%!!

Even if I had managed to hire a full time tele-sales person and then a full time consultation specialist, (which I have considered in the past!)....

They still wouldn't be working 24/7 when I have a campaign running. 

It's working for me all through the night. 

And I don't have to pay it by the hour!!!

If you're honest with yourself (please be honest with yourself) the cost of doing nothing is something like:

• Stressed out with lack of leads
• Stressed out with too many crappy leads
• Stressed out with coming up with different trials every month
• Stressed out trying to get hold of people over the phone and then email.
• Super busy with consultations that you may or may not be any good at.
• Unable to take any quality time off as there's no system in place to keep things ticking over.
• Struggle to push beyond current income level due to lack of time spent on business strategy growth
• Arguments with other half on how much time you're having to work
• Feel guilty about working so much and not getting quality time with your kids
• Feeling exhausted all the time and not looking after yourself

Between 40% and 55% of these buyers will then convert into 12 month members - meaning peace of mind of a quality recurring income.........

and this also increases the value of your business. 

So what price would you be prepared to pay to get rid of all of that hassle outlined above?

£1,000?

£1,500?

£2,000?

£5,000?

Would you be prepared to invest £5,000 if it meant you had a guarantee of getting rid of all of that time consuming hassle?

So you could be earning enough to start taking staff on, getting your own premises, taking nice holidays??

I would......and I have in the past. 

The investment isn't  £5,000 though.
